Electrical Engineer — Cable Trenching & Underground Works

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will support site execution of underground cable-trenching works, including drawing review, trench verification, cable laying and termination, and inspection of protection and reinstatement works — coordinating closely with civil, mechanical and survey teams to ensure all works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

Planning & coordination

  • Review and interpret approved cable-trench drawings, routing plans and technical specifications prior to site execution.
  • Coordinate trench routing and scheduling with civil, mechanical and survey teams to avoid clashes and rework.
  • Identify and mark existing underground utilities before excavation begins, coordinating utility clearance permits as required.

Excavation & installation supervision

  • Verify trench location, width, depth and alignment against approved drawings before excavation commences.
  • Ensure correct segregation and separation distances between DC, AC, MV, control and communication cables in accordance with specification and code requirements.
  • Inspect and approve sand bedding, cable spacing, cable laying and termination works at each stage.
  • Verify installation of cable protection, warning tape, route markers and backfilling compaction.
  • Monitor cable handling during installation to ensure minimum bending radius is maintained and no mechanical damage occurs.
  • Inspect road/track crossings, ducts, sleeves, manholes and cable entry points for correct installation and sealing.

Documentation & reporting

  • Maintain daily inspection records, checklists and non-conformance reports for all trenching stages.
  • Update red-line markups and as-built trench-routing drawings in coordination with the survey/document control team.
  • Report progress, deviations and quality issues to the Project/Electrical Manager in a timely manner.

Health, safety & environment

  • Ensure all trenching and excavation activities comply with site HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements and PPE standards.
  • Identify, report and help mitigate site hazards before and during works.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with international cable installation standards (IEC/BS/local utility authority regulations, e.g. DEWA/ADDC/FEWA as applicable).

Experience & skills

  • 3–7 years' experience in electrical site engineering, with hands-on experience in underground cable installation (LV/MV/HV as applicable).
  • Strong drawing-reading and redlining/as-built documentation skills (AutoCAD preferred).
  • Working knowledge of cable specifications, separation/clearance requirements and installation best practices.
  • Good coordination skills across civil, mechanical and survey disciplines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-control mindset.
  • Site-based role requiring regular field inspection and physical presence at excavation/installation activities.

HR / Admin Assistant

We are seeking an organised and reliable HR/Admin Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the HR department with employee records management, recruitment and onboarding coordination, visa and labour documentation, and general office administration — working closely with HR, PRO and project teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, with accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

Key responsibilities

HR support & employee records

  • Maintain and update employee personnel files, records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support and monitor employee visas, labour cards, Emirates ID, medical insurance and other statutory documentation.
  • Track employee attendance, leave balances and timesheets, coordinating with site/project teams as required.
  • Track and monitor staff accommodation occupancy, entitlements and rental records, keeping details up to date.

Recruitment & onboarding coordination

  • Assist with job postings, screening applications and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate new joiner onboarding, including documentation collection, induction scheduling and issuance of ID/access cards.
  • Support offboarding processes, including exit formalities and clearance documentation.

Administration & office support

  • Manage day-to-day office administration, including correspondence, filing, courier/mail handling and office supplies procurement.
  • Coordinate meeting schedules, book venues and prepare materials for internal meetings and management visits.
  • Liaise with the PRO/government relations team for visa processing, labour approvals and other regulatory submissions.

Documentation & compliance

  • Maintain organised, up-to-date HR and administrative filing systems in line with company policy and labour law requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing requested HR/admin documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience & skills

  • 2–4 years' experience in an HR/Admin support role, preferably within construction, MEP contracting, or a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of UAE labour law and visa/immigration processes is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRMS/HRIS systems is an advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a high level of discretion in handling confidential information.

QA/QC Officer — Mechanical & Electrical Works

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QA/QC Officer to join our team on a solar farm project. The successful candidate will be responsible for quality assurance and quality control of Mechanical and Electrical installation works, including PV module mounting structures, DC/AC cabling, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and earthing/grounding systems — ensuring all works are executed in full compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable IEC/IEEE/local standards, and the project Quality Plan, from inspection through testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key responsibilities

Quality planning & documentation

  • Review and implement the project Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements for Mechanical and Electrical works.
  • Ensure quality procedures and inspection criteria align with project specifications, IEC/IEEE/local standards, and client/consultant requirements.
  • Maintain and update quality control records, checklists, inspection reports, and material/equipment inspection registers.

Mechanical works inspection

  • Inspect PV module mounting structure installation (piling/ramming, torque values, alignment, and tilt angle) against approved drawings and specifications.
  • Verify correct installation of PV modules, module clamps, and structural fasteners, including torque and tightness checks.
  • Inspect mechanical completion of inverter stations, transformer skids, and associated equipment foundations prior to electrical works.

Electrical works inspection

  • Inspect DC cabling, string connections, combiner boxes, and earthing/grounding installations for compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Verify AC/MV cable installation, termination, and cable trench works (bedding, spacing, protection, and backfilling) against approved drawings.
  • Inspect switchgear, transformer, and inverter installation, termination, labelling, and cable management.
  • Witness and verify testing activities including insulation resistance (IR), continuity, polarity, IV curve tracing, and earth/grounding resistance tests.

Non-conformance & punch list management

  • Identify, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions through to closure.
  • Compile and manage punch lists, following up with subcontractors and site teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action for recurring quality issues.

Testing, commissioning & handover support

  • Coordinate and witness pre-commissioning and commissioning tests together with client/consultant representatives.
  • Verify test results against approved acceptance criteria and compile complete test packages/dossiers.
  • Support preparation of as-built documentation, red-line drawings, and handover/O&M documentation.

Coordination, reporting & HSE

  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, and HSE teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout site execution.
  • Liaise with client/consultant QA/QC representatives during inspections, surveillance visits, and audits.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly QA/QC inspection reports and status updates to the QA/QC Manager.
  • Carry out all QA/QC inspection activities in compliance with site HSE procedures, permit-to-work requirements, and PPE standards, reporting any unsafe conditions observed during inspections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor) is an advantage.

Experience & skills

  • 4–8 years' QA/QC experience in Mechanical & Electrical works, with specific experience on solar PV or utility-scale renewable energy projects highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC/IEEE/NEC standards and solar PV installation and testing best practices.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, single-line diagrams, and layout/routing drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment (e.g., megger/insulation testers, IV curve tracers, earth resistance testers) and interpretation of results.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Site-based role requiring regular field inspection and physical presence across the solar farm site.

HSE Engineer — Utility-Scale Solar PV Project

The HSE Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring project HSE requirements within the subcontractor's scope of work, ensuring compliance with the approved Project HSE Plan, EPC/Main Contractor requirements, client requirements, applicable UAE regulations, approved Method Statements and Risk Assessments (MSRA), and company HSE procedures.

Key responsibilities

HSE plan implementation & coordination

  • Implement the approved Project HSE Plan, procedures, MSRA, PTW requirements, and site HSE rules within the subcontractor's work areas.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Construction/Site Engineers, Supervisors, EPC HSE Team, and Client representatives on all HSE matters.
  • Ensure all activities are performed according to approved Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.

Training, site inspections & monitoring

  • Conduct and/or monitor Toolbox Talks, pre-task briefings, safety inductions, and HSE awareness sessions.
  • Conduct daily site inspections, identifying unsafe acts and conditions and ensuring immediate corrective action.
  • Monitor HSE compliance across piling, excavation and trenching, concrete works, PV module and tracker/structure installation, cable laying and electrical works, lifting and rigging, heavy equipment movement, and work at height.
  • Inspect plant, machinery, lifting equipment, power tools, and temporary electrical installations, verifying required certifications and inspection records.

PPE, housekeeping & welfare

  • Ensure proper use and availability of PPE and enforce compliance across the workforce.
  • Maintain safe access, housekeeping, barricading, signage, and segregation of personnel from moving equipment.
  • Monitor heat-stress controls, drinking water, shaded rest areas, and work/rest arrangements, particularly during UAE summer conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements including waste management, spill prevention, and dust control.

Reporting, NCRs & incident management

  • Prepare daily/weekly HSE inspection reports and follow up HSE observations, NCRs, and corrective actions until closure.
  • Report all incidents, near misses, and environmental events immediately per the project's reporting procedure, and participate in investigations and root-cause analysis.

Audits, authority & emergency preparedness

  • Participate in EPC/Client HSE meetings, inspections, and audits, ensuring subcontractor-related observations are closed within the required timeframe.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness, including fire extinguishers, first-aid arrangements, muster points, and evacuation arrangements.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority where an activity presents imminent risk, and promote a positive HSE culture where production targets never override safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent normally preferred/required; IOSH/OSHA and First Aid/Fire Safety training are advantageous.

Experience & skills

  • Minimum 3–5+ years of HSE experience in construction, preferably with utility-scale solar PV, renewable energy, power/infrastructure, or large civil projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MSRA, PTW, lifting safety, excavation, piling, electrical safety, work at height, heavy-equipment operations, incident investigation, HSE reporting, and UAE construction HSE requirements.
